Entire Cricket World Reacts To Dhoni’s Retirement & Wishes Him Luck

Entire Cricket World Reacts To Dhoni’s Retirement & Wishes Him Luck

There has been a lot of enthusiasm among MS Dhoni fans as they were pleased with the fact that after a long time for the IPL 2020 Thala will be stepping on the field. But now everybody is a little disappointed because MS Dhoni declared his retirement from international cricket yesterday. Even though we'll be able to see Dhoni playing the IPL, it's also true that Mahi's ardent fans wanted to see him again in a blue jersey and they believe the wicketkeeper-batsman deserves at least a farewell match.

Dhoni
played last for the country in the semi-final of the 2019 ICC World Cup that India lost to New Zealand. He has since been inaccessible for the pick. There have been several speculations about Dhoni's return to the national team and his retirement. Though Dhoni's fans expected him to make a comeback for the T20 ICC World Cup in the Indian team, some cricket experts raised doubts about Mahi's fitness, as he hadn't been playing cricket for long.

Indian cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri once said Dhoni's chances of playing in the T20 ICC World Cup 2020 would rely a great deal on his IPL 2020 results. Yet due to the coronavirus pandemic, the league was postponed and then the T20 ICC World Cup 2020 was postponed too, making all the chances of Dhoni's return very poor. Yet no one expected Dhoni to announce his retirement in this manner and at this juncture.

Dhoni picked up his official Instagram handle and wrote, "Thank you so much for your love and support throughout.

He also shared a montage of several moments of his career photos with the beautiful song "Mein pal do pal ka shayar hu."

Some Twitter Posts:

Virat Kohli:

Each cricketer has to end his journey one day, but you still feel the emotion far more when someone you've got to know so closely announces the decision. What you have done for the country will always remain in the hearts of all .....
Yet the shared love and warmth which I have gained from you will always remain in me. The world has seen successes, the person I have seen. Sorry for missing it. I'll tip you my hat @msdhoni

Virender Sehwag:

To get such an artist as him, Mission Impossible. Na Koi Hai, Na Koi Tha, MS ke jaisa Na Koi Hoga. Players are coming and going so there's not going to be a calmer guy like him. Dhoni was like a family member to many cricket fans, with his link to people with aspirations. Om Namah Namah

Shane Watson:

Congratulations #MSDhoni on an outstanding career at the international level. As a player and as one of the great leaders you will be so very proud of what you accomplished on the field. You were such a difficult opponent to play against and it's been a real treat to play with you now for @ChennaiIPL.

Gautam Gambhir:

Our journey from "India A" to "The Country" was full of question marks, commas, blanks & exclamations. Now as you put a complete stop to your story, I can tell you from experience that the new step is just as exciting and there is no limit here to DRS!!! @msdhoni Well Played @BCCI

Sachin Tendulkar:

Your contribution to the Indian cricket, @msdhoni, was tremendous. Together with winning 2011, World Cup has been the greatest moment of my career. I wish you and your family the best for your 2nd Innings.
